AISI 4145 is a chromium molybdenum quality alloy steel specification. As a high tensile steel grade AISI 4145 is primarily supplied in the hardened and tempered condition to 30-36HRc range to AISI 4145H modified. With a slightly higher carbon content AISI 4145 is similar to AISI 4140 in that it offers good ductility, shock resisting characteristics combined with resistancee to wear. AISI 4145 is suitable for a variety of applications in the oil and gas sector. This material can be supplied to AISI steel standards
