EN32 is a carbon case hardening steel. Components when carburised have a core strength range of 430-490 N/mm2 , with a hard wearing surface.

Heat Treatment:
Blank carburise at a temperature between 880°C and 930°C. Refine at a temperature of 970°C to 900°C, cool in air oil or water. Harden in water from 760°C to 780°C.
Tempering:
Tempering is recommended for stress relief and maximum case toughness. Tempering range from 150°C to 200°C .
